WEEKLY CHECK IN PROCEDURE: After you have raced once, we will set up a ride/walk through "Speed Check" in. Just have EXACT CHANGE or a check (made out to Outbound Industries) in the proper amount and ride through our electronic check in system. EZ and FAST! (You MUST have your number plate with you or attached to your bike for Speed Check!)

DO NOT FORGET YOUR NUMBER PLATE! It is your life and soul! You might notice that it contains your number, a bar code AND a timing chip so don't lose it or it's $5!

Starting procedure: As in years past the start sequence will begin with Expert Plus and work back to the Beginners. Please LISTEN for your class to be called up. If you start with the wrong class you will be DSQ'd.

LAPS: You will be going under the lap timing arch each lap. This will give you lap times. On your last lap you will peel off to finish by going into the finish chute.

FINISH LINE: The finish line is BEFORE the lap timing arch! You may sprint to the line but SLOW DOWN upon entering the lap arch and finish chute.

FINISH: go into the finish chute stay in order, this is your finish position so DO NOT PASS in the finish chute. We scan your chip to record your actual finish order.

2010 brings a few changes for the races this year. Please read this page as these changes effect everyone in one way or another.

On-line registration deposit. In years past you could register your info and then if you never showed up no big deal. The problem is that we are reaching the max allowable number of racers for our races (500 max) and if you registered and do not show up then others that could have raced could not. This year you will need to put forth a $10 NON REFUNDABLE deposit (plus $1.25 processing fee) to hold your space at the first race on March 31. The $15 racing fee is then due  at the race day check in on March 28. (Or you can buy a season pass at that time)

PRE-RACE DAY CHECK IN and schwag pick up will be on Sunday March 28th at Bikes Plus in Folsom from noon until 5:30. Unless you are sick or dying or make other arrangements you will need to come pick up your number plate, timing chip, t-shirt and goody bag. This will speed up the race day check in at the first race.

"CHIP" TIMING Yes, chip timing for PCRS this year. If you raced at the Folsom RodeoCross you saw our system in action. You should know that although very accurate, it is not 100% accurate 100% of the time. We will still run a video or bar code scanning for back up. For this reason, after you finish under the Lap/Finish timing arch you will continue like in years past through the "corral" past the video camera. You MUST STAY IN ORDER AFTER YOU CROSS UNDER THE TIMING ARCH.

What we hope to gain from this new system is more accuracy than hand input numbers, actual lap times and finish times. With this new technology will mean stricter guidelines.

  • No number plate with chip, no score.

  • Number plate must be properly installed - see the RESULTS page for instructions.

  • Absolutely no crossing through the lap/finish arch area unless you are racing.

  • NO bikes (number plates with chips) in scoring/timing areas unless directed.

MEDALS! We have grown by leaps and bounds over the last three years and starting in 2010 we will award 1st through 3rd place "medals" in each class. We are designing them now!
